Welcome to Integrative Healthcare!

Integrative Healthcare (IHC) provides mental health care via virtual visits throughout the state of Virginia and office visits in the Hampton Roads, VA area. The goal of IHC is to provide timely mental healthcare, minimize hospitalizations and improve the overall quality of life of those affected by mental illness.

  • Provide early intervention strategies for high-risk children and adolescents to reduce the lifetime effects of mental illness in our population.

Psychiatric Evaluation

A systematic assessment of the client's mental, physical, social, and economic condition to formulate a diagnosis and comprehensive plan of care in conjunction with the client and their family.

The need for medication is based on the psychiatric evaluation and the client's preference. Visits are scheduled every one to three months to assess effectiveness and the need for medication changes

Individual Therapy

Motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral, and interpersonal therapy are counseling methods used to help clients develop behavioral changes. These  therapy methods are integrated into the client's medication management visits to provide maximum benefit over time.

Family Therapy

Dr. Neal performs individual and family counseling based on the needs of the client and/or family. She also has a number of psychologists, social workers, and licensed professional counselors who serve as referral resources for her clients.

Substance Use Disorders

With more than 15 years of experience providing care to Veterans in a mental health and substance abuse program, Dr. Neal is understands the importance of stable mental health in the road to recovery.

Integrated Behavioral Care

Providers practicing integrated behavioral health care recognize that both medical and mental health are important parts of a person's overall health. As the shift to "whole health care" continues we can expect enhanced access to services, lower health care costs, and better quality of care.
